Defying a betting drift and with major shareholder, Mike Spence, who helped select the filly – fast asleep in England, Tom Sherry worked his magic with a well timed run to win on the line.
With a queue of fillies wishing to gain black type in the Group Three Hawkesbury Crown, it was great to see the now four-year-old mare salute at her first Australian appearance having trialled nicely three weeks ago.
Having secured a Group win, what COCO JAMBOO can achieve in Australia will be a bonus and a huge congratulations to the ownership group and thank you for their continued support.
