Easter Yearling Sale

With plenty of anticipation surrounding the sale of the PIERRO x WINX filly, this years William Inglis Easter Yearling Sale once against provided solid trade in what has been a difficult market.

It is becoming to sound like a tune on ‘repeat’ but once again the market zeroed in on quality.

Nevertheless the sale did well to achieve a clearance rate of 80% and it was good to witness robust investment from abroad with more horses making over A$500,000 than 12 months prior.

Of particular note for clients of WJB was witnessing the I AM INVINCIBLE x NOTTING HILL filly sell for A$1.8m, bred by the Bernick families Armitage Australia LLC (Glen Hill Farm) who keep their Australian bloodstock interests at Yarraman Park Stud.

On the purchasing front, WJB secured three yearlings, two in partnership with Annabel Neasham Racing who has had a wonderful autumn carnival with the likes of Group One winner, LADY LAGUNA (Overshare) and one for Glen Hill Farm.

LOT 20 – Per Incanto x Farrelly – A$240,000

LOT 179 – Dundeel x Nancy Grace – A$250,000

DUNDEEL needs little introduction as a sire of colts with the likes of CELESTIAL LEGEND, MILITARIZE, SUPER SETH & CASTELVECCHIO making inroads on the track in recent years. This colt, consigned by Arrowfield Stud is a very athletic mover and is out of a 3/4 in blood sister to ANDERS, who Annabel had a lot to do with her before training in her own right. (FIND OUT MORE)
