OTI Racing’s San Huberto (Speightstown) was impressive in winning the Group Two Prix Vicomtesse Vigier over 3000m at Chantilly on the same card as the Group One Prix Ganay taken out by Sottsass (Siyouni).
Under a beautiful ride from Pierre-Charles Boudet, San Huberto was well positioned throughout the race and quickened well to hold a strong field at bay in the last 100 metres (RACE REPLAY).
Following a Listed win at Deauville in August 2019, in a deal brokered by William Johnson whilst working for de Burgh Equine, Terry Henderson’s OTI Racing purchased a majority shareholding in the horse.
All directions now lead to Melbourne for a possible tilt at this years Cup for the Fabrice Chappet trained four-year-old colt.
A €70,000 yearling purchase by Hubert Guy, interestingly, San Huberto is out of the Group Three winning Rail Link mare Sediciosa, a half-sister to the dam of ATC Breeders’ Plate winner, Dubious (Not A Single Doubt).
Congratulations to OTI Racing and their partners, Maurice Lagasse and Nico and Marc de Chambure on their win.
