Her Season Isn’t Over. It’s Just Moved South.

A new season. A hemisphere of opportunity.

The Southern Hemisphere breeding season provides owners of selected mares in the US and Europe with another commercial opportunity.

William Johnson Bloodstock is working with Australian breeders seeking to purchase mares suitable for cover in the Northern Hemisphere from September 1.

We welcome submissions for:

  • Fillies and mares retiring from racing
  • Proven producers who have missed the Northern Hemisphere season
  • Mares from commercial racing and breeding families
  • Mares currently located in the US or Europe

How it works

1. Put forward your mare

Submit her pedigree, racing or produce record, current reproductive status and location.

2. Initial assessment

WJB will review her suitability and discuss any potential Australian interest with you.

3. Purchase and international coordination

Where there is interest, WJB can assist with the purchase process and coordinate the steps required for her move to the Southern Hemisphere.
